Hi! I’m Allison, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been working in the field of social work for over 10 years. I specialize in working with adults and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, and postpartum mood changes. My approach is open and understanding, providing a supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. In therapy, I believe in fostering a collaborative relationship where we can work together to uncover the root of your challenges and develop personalized strategies to support your well-being. Whether you're seeking help individually or as a couple, my goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and equipped to face life’s obstacles. I look forward to guiding you on your journey toward healing and personal growth!

My Approach

My approach to therapy is honest, open, and holistic. I believe that real progress comes from a foundation of trust and transparency, where clients feel safe to express themselves fully. By integrating a variety of therapeutic methods- including CBT, ACT and solution-focused therapy, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple I work with. I focus not only on addressing immediate concerns like anxiety, depression, and postpartum adjustment issues but also on fostering long-term emotional well-being. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey, where together, we work to uncover deeper insights, build resilience, and create lasting change.

My Focus

My practice focuses on helping adults and couples who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and postpartum mood changes. These challenges can often feel overwhelming, but through therapy, we work to uncover the underlying issues and develop strategies for managing them. I am dedicated to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals and couples can explore their emotions and experiences. Whether it's navigating life transitions, improving communication in relationships, or overcoming persistent feelings of worry or sadness, my goal is to empower clients to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives.

My Communication
Style

My communication style is warm, open, and welcoming. I believe that creating a safe and inviting environment is key to fostering meaningful connections in therapy. I approach each session with genuine curiosity and empathy, encouraging open dialogue where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. By being fully present and attentive, I aim to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. This approach allows for honest conversations that lead to deeper insights and personal growth, whether we’re working through individual challenges or relationship dynamics.

My Journey

My journey to becoming a therapist was fueled by a deep curiosity about understanding myself and a strong desire to help others. From a young age, I found myself drawn to exploring emotions, relationships, and the ways we cope with life's challenges. Over time, this interest grew into a passion for supporting others as they navigate their own struggles. Through my education and experience, I’ve honed my ability to create a safe, open space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Becoming a therapist has allowed me to blend my natural empathy with professional tools, helping individuals and couples find clarity and healing in their lives.
