Believe me when I say that change is a long and complicated journey, but it is worth the trip. Having gone through challenges myself, I can tell you everything I know about reclaiming your life to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
I don’t mean to say, however, that there won’t be any bad days, but we can work together to make the bad days more tolerable. I have over eight years of clinical and personal experience to get you to a better place.
I love my job because it allows me to help those who were once in my shoes – stuck, overwhelmed, stressed, and unhappy. I like to challenge my clients because even when they don’t believe in themselves, I do.
I’ve seen so much good work done by the clients I’ve served. I’m confident I can give you the tools you need to better manage those thoughts in your head.
My Approach
You want a lasting solution.
Learning and practicing a new way of thinking is possible, and any time can be an excellent time to change. Even if this way of thinking has been ongoing for years, maybe decades, change is possible.
The self-help books and articles you’ve been reading and the podcasts you’ve been listening to haven’t made a lasting impact. The relief has only been temporary, and you’re looking for a forever thing.
You’re looking for a different approach to addressing these problematic feelings because you no longer want to feel the way you've been feeling. tYou want to feel good, and you’re willing to put in the work to get to a better place.
Therapy can help provide that solution.
Maybe this is your first time seeking therapy, or you are looking for a new approach.
Learning skills in sessions and applying them between sessions allows a fast track to living a more fulfilled life. These acquired and learned skills will help with the current struggles, and they are lifelong techniques that will be useful beyond therapy.
Gain a new perspective, learn to restructure the negative thought patterns, and feel more confident leading a better life with great support and guidance.
My Focus
My specialties including: generational trauma and breaking cycles, overcoming perfectionism, Asian Americans, managing stress and reducing burnout.
My Communication
Style
In our work together, you can expect to learn about your own thinking patterns and how they influence your thoughts and feelings while working on restructuring them. I am a relaxed therapist (not passive) and pride myself on making people feel at ease; my approach to therapy is casual, cohesive, direct, empowering, and solution-focused. Get the support and guidance you need to thrive. Learn new skills and feel confident in your ability to utilize them in challenging times. Lead the rewarding, fulfilling life you’ve been dreaming of.
My Journey
As a daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, I struggled for years between making my parents happy and making myself happy. I was bewildered as I was being taught one way in the school system and another way at home. My parents demanded and expected that I excel in school. You know, the typical Asian household wanting their children to go into prestigious professions such as doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, etc.
I struggled simultaneously with making my parents happy and myself happy. Growing up, I sought validation in any way I could and always from others. Even into my career, I worked tirelessly to climb the corporate ladder, at one point working almost 80 hours a week! Looking back, I laughed about how insane I was and vowed never to do that to myself again. I would set goals, always meet them, and then find myself formulating more goals to chase after.
It was a long, hard road to find my purpose, but it was so worth it. And having gone through this myself, I can tell you everything I know about reclaiming your life and truly enjoying the fruits of your labor.
In a safe and welcoming space, I’ll challenge you to grow and believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself.
I’m inspired by all the excellent work done by the clients I’ve worked with, and I’m confident I can give you the tools to start living the life you’ve always wanted.
